November 2024 Update

I'm always forgetting about this blog, I remember to update my socials and LinkedIn but this always slips my mind. Anyhoo, here's a bullet points list of stuff that's happened since the last blog post that I can currently recall off the top of my head.

• I got 88/100 for The Devil's Symphony, a score that I believe is the highest the course has seen so far.

• I graduated with First Class Honours.

• Death is Only the Beginning received the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at the first ever Terror on Tyne Horror Film Festival.

• The Devil's Symphony reached NOMINEE at this year's TVIFF.

• I won BEST STUDENT FILM (TDS), BEST COMEDY and BEST SCREENPLAY (DIOTB) at AFC Film Festival.

• I've been working an internship with Base Camp Industries via the university.

• I made my Christmas exorcism film; The Xmascist. With help from IN THE FRAME, I secured a proper crew and we shot it across two days with all sorts of proper gear like lighting, smoke machine, decent camera. And all I had to do was direct. It was a surreal experience, but one that I've gotten a liking for.

• I applied for the TVIFF scholarship with a short version of my Peg Powler script, but sadly didn't get anywhere with it. Positively though, I've been spurred on to write my feature script which was always the original intention for this character. So the plan is to perfect the script through 2025 and shoot it in 2026. I think that's a good plan.
